Question about heat and standard 75 gal tank

that sounds good. only suggestion i would make is to have 2 fans blowing air in on one side and have the other 2 fans pulling air out on the other side. would be a little more efficient that way. jmo

will my bubble coral be ok?

i have seen it happen. make sure to get the star out of there or it will continue to eat. as long as there is still flesh on the bubble it has a chance to come back.

    quick ?

since it has built in fans you might not need anything else. just pay attention to your temp fluctuation for a couple days and make sure its not swinging more than a few degrees. if it is just use the floor fan to blow across the surface of hte water.

    Help with stand support

i really dont like to use anything that is not made for an aquarium but if you must, just make sure there is plenty of support all the way around the rim of the tank. make sure it is nice and level and make sure that it will not warp if water lays on it.

    What kind of lighting exactly???

with anemones the absolute most important thing imo is water quality. they do need good light and some flow but nice stable pristine water quality is a must. i dont know how deep your tank is but 175w halides should do it. if its a deeper tank (26 inches deep or deeper) you might want to step up...

Lights for a 120 gallon reef

the 175s will be fine if you only want to keep some softies and maybe some lower light stonies. if you want to keep some montis and acros and keep them healthy and growing go with the 250s.

    New Setup

well if a reef tank is what you want, you will want more light and more flow than what is listed there. and yes you are right, you can get stuff much cheaper online or at larger chain stores. depending on what you want to keep, you will want about 30x turnover rate and either 3 175watt halides...

    lights, canopy, questions

yes the ballast will have seperate on off switches for the halides. I have found that you normally get a better deal when you buy the entire diy kit as a whole. easier to setup too. any other questions just ask.

Question about heat and standard 75 gal tank

im sure plenty of people are without chillers. just make sure they are up off the water 8 inches or so and a couple fans and you will be fine.

    aquarium purchaseing question

depends on what kind of tank you want. if you just want a regular glass aquarium most of the time your larger chain stores are about the best place to get one. now if an acrylic tank or something custom is more up your alley just do a search. im sure plenty of stuff will pop up.
