One of my black darwins went carpet surfing and died.

I had the 2 darwins in my 65 fowlr tank. I have a single maroon clown in the 90 reef. I was wondering if it would be safe to put the darwin in the 90 also? If I do that I can rehome my foxface and move my brittle and shrimp to the 90 and tear down the 65 altogether. Any thoughts?

Been about 2 months now with this pump and have had no problems at all with it. Very quiet and i haven't noticed any heat transfer. Around the 6 month mark i will tear it down for cleaning and see how dirty it is or isn't.

    Acrylic or Glass

My Father-in-Law started Tru-Vu back in the day making small betta tanks in his garage in California. He sold his half to his partner about 9 years ago and moved here to Georgia. Sadly he does not speak to his ex-partner anymore or I would be able to get a heck of a deal. Now they are in...

    live feeding, amphipods, copepodes

Question.... I do not have a Mandarin as of yet and may not for a while. I have quite a few pods in my fuge that came from wherever. I know that a lot of the pods are making it into the DT as I save a bunch of them whenever I change my socks. Do you guys actually feed some from the fuge with a...

    I.D please.

Picture quality kinda sucks but, I had this little yellow hard spot on a rock that has a mushroom on that I got a few months back. I just noticed that it was a lot bigger than it was before. I see now that it is a little clam of some sort with a yellow skirt around it. It closes up whenever I...

Well, the pump is installed and has been running for a couple of hours. The Good: Hookup was straight forward, several different hose adapters, no suction cups on the bottom, only rubber feet (They are slid into notches so I guess suction cups could be added). No noise from the pump that i...

I just ordered one yesterday. The pump I have now takes for ever to start up after I unplug it or power goes out. I was afraid one day it might not come on at all. The pump got pretty good reviews and has a nice 10 speed controller with feed setting. Ill post more when I get it set up this weekend.

    Algae I.D

Thanks for the great info, I think I will skip the dosing for now. I will start blacking out the tank this weekend after a water change. I did start feeding 10-15 drops of Phytoplankton last sunday but i already had the algae so that is probably not causing it. I guess I will order some new...

    Algae I.D

Thanks pegasus, I been running GFO for a few months now. I am going to do a a big water change this weekend and possibly try a Tuxedo urchin if the LFS has any in for a decent price. Do you think blacking out the tank for a few days will harm the few soft corals I have in the tank? How about...

    Algae I.D

I just checked my Phos level and it was between 0.25 - 0.5 (API). That might be part of the problem there. Like you said if the algae is using up some phosphate then the number is probably a lot higher. Any way to get it down quickly? I am only 3 weeks into the GFO change but, I am all out of...
