What's the difference between Kent's Zoe and Zoecon? I usually use Selcon as a food soak, but wanted to switch things up. Can Zoecon be used without Zoe and visa-versa, or do they need to be used in conjunction??
Try using a salt mix with higher CA and Mag like Coralife or Oceanic. Coralife tests somewhere around 560 CA and 1380 Mag - Oceanic tests around 580 CA and 1650 Mag. My CA level was low at around 340 and I did a 25g water change with Oceanic and was able to get it back up to 420.
I decided to roll the dice and bought one about a week ago.. The coloration was beautiful and too good to pass up.. So far so good, hasn't nipped at any of my shrooms yet, just on the rock surrounding..
I feed frozen Formula One, frozen Formula 2, frozen Dwarf Angel Formula, frozen Mysis, occasional flake and occasional Spectrum pellet. Soak all in Selcon, stuff is great, but can get gooey and clumpy from time to time..
My sixline has been very peaceful as well, although he does get into it with my Royal Gramma from time to time... But to the question at hand - I would caution putting a sixline in a 10g, mine is very active and really explores the space in the tank and through the rockwork.. JMO. Firefish...
Yeah, to my experience it's kind of hit or miss with Green Chromis... I first bought three and within a week I found one of my hermits chomping one up (I think this was the result of my LFS slipping the pick on guy in the bag when I wasn't looking because there was only 4 in the tank and the...
I live in the Pittsburgh area as well, but I've not experienced any long term power outages that I can remember in the last five years.. I remember one last year around June or July where it was out for an hour or so, but other than that nothing more than 10-15 mins at a time..
I read somewhere that Basslets can be kept with Dartfish, but only with caution. Has anyone had experience keeping these two fish together in the same aquarium? Here is my current stock list.
2 true percs
1 sixline
5 blue/green reef chromis
1 red firefish
From what I've read, RG's are peaceful...
Is a 25 watt Aqua UV Sterilizer too much for a 75 gallon tank? The specs say that it is rated for up to a 150g tank, but is there such thing as having too much wattage in a UV?? I'm new to UV sterilization, so any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I started my tank with tap water and had it up and running for about 2 months before switching to RO/DI. I can definitely say that I noticed a huge difference when I made the switch. Before I made the switch, I had brown and green algae blooms everywhere, but after I did my first water change...
