Just a little fyi the catalina goby likes cooler water but will tolerate the tropical temps. Their natural water temp is between 60 and 72 degrees since they come from around catalina island.

For carpets I would say Metal halide lighting and medium water flow. Food I would give them a varied meat diet such as shrimp, silversides....

If you are getting the live rock from your lfs it is most likely cured. Cured means that you won't have any more die-off.

They are the same type Ocellaris so I would only get one of each in hope that they would pair up.

They arn't actually percs they are Ocellaris clowns or false percs. It doesn't really matter which one is bigger just as long as one of them is.

what fans do is increase evaporative cooling which is pretty effective, but you will have to top off more often.

The clown might be what is killing the coral.

I run mh and pc and use a fan. It works fine for me except that I have to top off everyday.

They are really cool creatures but are very hard to keep. I wouldn't do it personally.
