    Best Reef Salt?

I just set up my new tank with Oceanic. Great salt, IMO. It dissolves very quickly and the container reseals itself completely with no crusting over on the top of the salt. :)

My ammonia has started to decline already. My nitrites are off the charts. I hope this trend continues and my tank will be cycled in about three weeks with the help of the live rock. BTW, I had no foul smell whatsoever!! I couldn't believe how good this LR really is!! :jumping:

My first clam any tips? Pics Included.

I have been researching clams for about two months now. Most comments stated here coincide with what I have read. 1. Clams under three inches need phytoplankton to thrive. 2. Larger clams get most of their nutrition from the zooxanthellae. 3. Metal Halides are a must for all clams. 4. The...

    New 75g in-wall Reef

Here is the beginning of my 75g in-wall aquarium. I will be doing a reef setup this time around. The rock work is not where it will stay. The rock is curing. I will use the rock to cycle my tank. I ordered the rock off of the internet and got it for $3.00/lb delivered to my door. I don't...

    What to add next?

That is some beautiful rock architecture you have there!! Greatfullreefer is right though, the rule of thumb is 1 inch per 5 gallons.
