my lr rock is cover in a brown algea. it looks like a thin blanket over top of my lr, its collecting air bubble under it, just woundering if i should treat it or if it will go away after a while..?????? thanks josh

i live in florida, and at fort desoto beach you can swim out and find 1000s of sand dollars, they are a dark purple color. and if messed with they give off a dark purple dye that stains your hands and is hard to get off. i think they would be a bad idea to keep in a home aquaruim.. just my...

no pic , sorry, i took him down to the lfs, they had no idea what kind of snail it was. so i put him into my tank... we will see what happens.. its the coolest snail i have ever seen. he also has little white spikes on his shell. he is awesome.....

i got a hitch hicker with a peice of sea fan, and it is a snail, tiny, brown thin shell and a purple body. i was wondering if anybody knows if it is a good snail or bad before putting him into my tank..???? josh

yeah, you guys have help me out more than my lfs, i thought i was addicted to just my tank, but now i am on this site everyday, my wife really hates everything about the tank and it was her idea to get the tank. now its mine

i had very tiny feather dusters, but i moved my sand around just a little, and i tried to keep them close to the top, but lost track of them, my question is that will they move back up to the top of the sand or die? i really hope they will...

you think i could add so zoos next week, i just check my permeters, the look fine, but i dont know if it takes alwhile of the fish to make the permeters spike..??????

do corals, zoos, etc..... do they create bioloads or change permieters?????????????

i also got a SB, i have had mine for 3 days now, and all he does is eat off my LR. he seems to be doing fine. he is very active. i really hope he doesnt die on me, i like him more than my clowns...

okay, so how long should i run carbon?? i have had carbon in my tank since day one, should i take it out, or leave it in a while longer??

i have FOWLR as of right now, planing on getting some corals and other stuff, i added 2 clowns and a scooter blenny.. my carbon is " MATRIX carbon" by seachem. I dont know if thats active or not. i have carbon trays in my set up. 55 gal tank..

i added fish two days ago, check permeters yesterday, everything is 0, is there anyother things i should start checking now that my cycle is over, calcuim? anything.. ??? thanks josh

i just got done cycling, should i change my filters and my carbon tray?? on the bottle it says the carbon is good for a couple of months... any suggestions would be helpful.... thanks josh
