You get it on your live rock first and keep your water chemistry good the coralline will spread. Another way you can get it to spread faster is to use like a toothbrush to spread the spores. I havnt tried that personally but i hear it works.

Its a coralife protein skimmer i don't think i have ever heard of that brand before.

o ok it might not be true. Me personally i havn't had first hand experience with it. But i do know that many species contain toxic substances.

Most likely due to lights. Find out where your diatom problem is coming from. Maybe use one of those phosphate sponges.
