I have used that before to.Just make sure your carbon is full sumerged in water.The carbon adsorbs the toxins in the water so if water is just running over the carbon i don't think will do its job.If you had 2 drop the bags in your dt tank.

Better off in the sump.I have my 220 corallife hanging on the side of my sump and it has over flowed twice on me.Not a bad skimmer for the money but they area little tricky and do get out of whack pretty easy.

Is the naso for sale and if so how much.
