i have tryed many many different brands of gel super glue and i found that the best is loctite... you can get 10g ( fairly large tuge) for $5 at any lowes home center in the paint department...... it is super thick, bonds fast , and works extremely well under water.... just my 2 cents

you should be fine... most of the time the polyp will have the slime around it... and the glue will just come off.... just my 2 cent
