i also agree with bangguy the color temp makes no difference.. i have grown them under every lighting imaginable less the led fixtures.... they all work .. i personally use 20k bulbs on my grow out tank and my dt.... The zoos grow great for me...i also think xm bulbs are the best just my 2 cents

it seems to me that the key to the reproduction of zoas is deffinately flow... i have noticed in my zoa tank that having med/high current in one direction seems to make the grow quicker.... i dont know about the light issue as i have seen zoas reproduce in all different lighting... i personal...
