Hyposalinity is a treatment to kill the ich off of a fish. It must be done in a seperate aquarium other than the main tank. You can find a lot of info about it in the disease treatment of the forums. there is always ich present in any tank. The fish can get it if they are stressed out and their ammune system cant fight it. Changing the sand and rock will really not do anything as far as ich goes.
