while you could use them and your corals would be fine they would by a bit more yellow/red in the spectrum and would probablly grow a bit more of your algea. thats all. most people use atleast 65k to 10k with actinic

there is no pendant. everything is sold except the ballasts. they are ACE brand (antron compact electric) they are very simple to wire t a bulb. there are 2 blue wires and 2 red wires for the bulb and then your blac/white/green for power.

250w isn't too much really. you just need a pendant instead of a hood. i had the light set-up i'm selling over a 40gal hex. had awesome growth, just use a blue(14k or 20k) bulb.
