if you want a tang i reccomend a yellow tang and for angelfish i reccomend the flame angel or coral beauty. also blue tangs make great additions to larger tanks.

a hummelincki should do fine in a 40 gallon tank as long as you have proper filtration and cycle your tank.

you shouldn't get a blue ring!!! i'm sure you've heard this before but they can kill you!! there is many other octos you can get that arn't potentially deadly!
