I have tried both ends and the middle. Doesn't seem to make a difference.

Currently I have a 55gal aquarium and I am running an emperor 400 bio wheel filter. From what I hear these are not very good filters for sw setups. And from my experience they don't seem to clean debris from the water very well. Everything (fish poop) seems to settle to the bottom of the tank...

This thing came on my liverock. When I first put the rocks into the aquarium, it crawled into a hole in the rock. I assumed it died in there, but here we are 3 weeks later and it reappeared out of nowhere.

My tank is almost 3 weeks old now and I have yet to see any traces of ammonia, nitrite or nitrate? Is this normal? I currently have ~50+ lbs of live rock, a 3 stripe damsel, a blue devil, a neon dottyback, 2 hermit crabs and 9 snails. Now before I get yelled at for having this stuff in my tank...
