Blonde Naso Tang and Sea Mat

Has anyone heard if Blonde Naso Tangs eat Sea Mat coral? I've had my sea mat since September and my Blonde Naso since October. Just last week the fish started munching on the coral. The rock is almost bare. Some of the polyps that he managed to just knock off the rock and not eat have attached...

    Sea mat

Do sea mat polyps tend to detach themselves from rocks? I used to have a rock full of these polyps but now the rock is almost bare. They are floating all over the tank. Some have attached themselves to other rocks but some are still floating or settled in the bottom of the tank. By the way, I do...

    anemone

broomer5, fishman1, and karlas: February 11th marks my first anniversary in this hobby. It hasn't been as relaxing as I thought. Now is when I'm starting to enjoy my aquarium aside from this recent anemone loss and my mantis shrimp problem. As for what type of anemone I had, it was a bubble tip...

My poor clown shrimp is disoriented. Does anyone know if he'll survive without an anemone if I wait a few weeks? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

    anemone

My anemone died last night. I found it this morning in a gooey droopy state. I took it out of the tank and boy did it smell. It broke apart as soon as I was lifting it out of the tank. My poor clown shrimp may be disoriented for a while. I'm afraid to get another one and have it die. The fish...

    Mantis Shrimp

I have approx. 130 lbs. of lr so it's going to be a not so fun day when I have to resort to dipping the rock. Will the dipping harm my LR? If I iodine dip it will it harm the...

    anemone

Yes, I feed him. yesterday, he went underneath a lr. A I think he wasn't getting adequate light. I didn't want to pry him off the lr because it could have damaged its disc. Soo I left him and now it looks awful. But thanks for your responses. I'll see how he's doing tomorrow morning.

    anemone

I'm bummed! I might give it a few more hours. the starfish are not touching it now. But it does look droopy, with white shredded like digestive cavity (insides) or mouth exposed. I don't know which is it, the mouth or the digestive cavity. Part of it still looks alive; still has its color but...
