on top of my 180 i am running to ice capp 400watt mh, and 2 5' vho's and everything seems to grow nice... i also mounted 2 fans blwoing air across the lights to keep them cool. my water temp never gets above 82. but now i added a chiller and it keeps it right at 79. good luck

would you just test it using a tds meter? or what would you want to look for?

well after doing a search for stomatella snails on here,, it sounds and looks like that is what i have,, pretty cool i guess, espically if i do end up with some baby ones, it was just kind of neat to see the first one releasing stuff into the tank and just a few mins later the 2nd one did it...
