The oter day i noticed that my lionfish had what looked like a tumor on it belly, so I decided to take him out and put in qt, today when I got home it looks like his stomach is rotting away what should I do?

I just purchased some live rock for my new 40 gallon aquarium the other day. When I came home today I noticed that there were these centepede looking things crawling around on the bottom, I will try and get apicture if I can but if any one has a n idea of what it might be that would be great.

The only real way to get ich completely out of your system is to QT the fish, There are products out their that are reef safe like greenex but they usually don't work. I don't know a whole lot about ich but hopefully this helps good luck

I have a porcupine puffer and he seems to eat any of the frozen products out there. (mysis shrimp, krill anything like that ) you should be able to pick these products up at any lfs hope this helps:)

they can get to about 12 inchs mine eats just about anything live food frozen food and flake food.

the backgound cool is just a basic blue that I found at the lfs

then it is probably alagae which is good for your tank and evebtually will turn green i had the same thing in my tank. As for the lights i read 8-12 hours but my lfs told me no more then 8

how long has your tank been rup and running? It maybe alagae. HOw long are your lights on for? If they are on to long then that will increase the amount of alagae.

i think he was just eating he looks fine now. HOw do you know if they are dying though?

how do you know if your star fish is sick? I came home today and its tenticles are still moving as is he but it looks like the center of him is becoming solid like where his mouth would be?:notsure:
