    cowfish with ich

My cowfish is showing signs of ich. If I added a cleaner shrimp, would the shrimp clean off the ich or would the cow eat the shrimp. I know they love crustaceans. Or would a fresh water dip be better?

    Royal Gramma

Its only a 30 high, so thats why I am trying to remain within my limits. I have been doing this awhile and know that all that is said in this message board is true with respect to which fish will and wont work. I saw an orchid dottyback and its beautiful but it was around 45 bucks so too much...

    Royal Gramma

I am interested in getting a royal gramma but have heard that they can be aggressive. Is this true? In reality I am looking for a smaller purple fish. If a RG isn't the best option, what else should I consider? Thanks I currently only have a jawfish and am considering a Flame Angel

    aragonite

I just started up my tank again. Its a 30 gallon high. I added aragonite to the bottom. I have it at about 2 - 3 inches. Is this too much or too little? Please let me know, because I have heard that gas can accumulate under the substrate if water does not get to it. Thannks

    New tank water

I live in Cleveland and the tap water here is horrible. If I fill my tank with half RO and half tap, will that be OK? Also, after the cycle is done, do I do a 50% water change? Thanks.

    Smallest Tank

The problem I had was that the fish was staying at the top and not breathing. I asked my lfs and he said that there was no oxygen in the water because my phosphates were high. Now I know that its my water. I have heard that Cleveland water is bad. Thanks everyone for the info!!

    Smallest Tank

What is the smallest tank one can use for saltwater? I know the common answer is 55 gallon, but are there people out there that have had success with smaller? I have a 30, and have not had much success with it. I think I had too much live rock in it and the phosphates went too high. I have an...

He was lunging back and forth and then just died. What the heck happened. Its almost like he had some food stuck in his throat and...

Does anyone have any experience with these fish? I am thinking about getting one for my first fish in my tank. I can imagine that they are fairly delicate but I have perfect levels right now and about 15 lbs of lr in my 30 gallon. I am planning on only getting 3 fish total. Thanks!!

    cycle help

This is one topic I believe I can help with. This is completely normal. Just leave the shrimp in the tank, eventually it will decompose to nothing and will take you through your whole cycle.

    cycle question

I used shrimp to cycle my tank and it has been working beautifully. I am at my nitrite spike right now. My question is when do I take out the shrimp. I imagine that it is just giving off loads of ammonia, but when should i take it out of my tank. Thanks
