What kind of lights, ands what size tank do you have? I've never used purple up but have heard good things about it. Also do you have coralline growing on your glass? If you do you can shut off your filter and get a razor blade and scrape the coralline off the glass and it will spred faster...

I feed my 125 every 4 days but I only have 2 small fish and most of my inverts just eat all my snails. I also have issues with hair algae.

My PH is at 8.3 and my nirates are at 0 so the only other thing that is wrong that I can find is the salinity. Either way I only have two fish left and they seem to be ok so far. I'm going to give it a couple of months before I add anything else fish wise.

very hepfull info. I have the hair algee issue going on too, I just added a second skimmer and some HK #4 and it seems to have slowed it down in just 2 days.
