I finally have a camera to help with ID's. These things are coming from my rock and although don't look like any pics of aptasia(sp) that I've seen, they do retract into a hole very quickly. As I understand it, that's a bad sign right? they also survived the cycle. Bad???

Sorry, but I was the one who brought up MTf Hghts. I know they have a "guy" raising their clowns and was just wondering. I do like that place though. They are very clean. Not a giant selection, but each tank has its own seperate water. I don't know anything about Wetpets, sorry.

I have those too. They are called spagetti strings (there is another name but I forget). From what I understand, they are a good part of the detritus eating cleanup crew. You can search for above and find more info. -Matt

Thanks for the help.:) I put the area of the rock that is dying on the bare glass that was left over after I vacuumed. There is still a substantial mass of the "sponge" left. I will definitely take bang's advice in the future about prying off BEFORE adding to the tank. Once again, thank you.
