Poor pooor arrow crab he will be missed

My vote is with the niger as well. Only because I watched my Picasso trigger devour my arrow crab. There were legs everywhere.

    Triggerfish Help!

My picasso loved ghost shrimp and live brine. Sometimes live foods are best at first until they get used to their surroundings. He will be shy at first and watch out if you have any inverts in the tank.

Gorgeous tank. What about some type of huge moray in there?

    My Puffer

I would definately do a water change to lower ammonia fast, but when I brought my puffer home he did seem rather sluggish and took a little while to get up to speed. He is a rather slow-moving fish altogether and should do fine once ammonia is lowered. Try to get it as close to 0 as possible.

    ID please

I would think good, but probably a good food source. Did they just appear? That's cool. I just got a shipment of starfish in today that had several similiar "bugs" swimming in the bag and had no idea what they might be.

    ID please

I know there are some good threads about different types of copepods in the forum too. Do a search and maybe you can see if what's in your tank matches any of the pics in the thread.

    humu humu's and inverts

I've watched my humu humu pull turbo snails off the glass and flip them over and eat them. He left pieces of my arrow crab from one end of the tank to the other. It took three coral banded shrimp "disappearing" before I realized what was happening. And these are just a few examples of his...

    OK finaly done w/Stocking list

Research butterflies before you put one in your reef, I've heard many people say they pick at corals. Not sure about Copperbands specifically, they are beautiful though. A royal gramma is a basslet and might not get along with the blackcap because of how territorial they are.

    Does this sound good?

I had a snowflake eel, valentini puffer, and volitan and never had any problems with them eating inverts. Only fish that was bad about it was my picasso, he's pull my turbos off the glass and eat them. Actually I still have the eel.

What about a firefish goby, those are really cute and a good size for a smaller tank.

    Six-Line Wrasse

I had no idea they spun cocoons. I'm glad I found out, I would've panicked if I woke up and found him in a giant white fuzzy ball. He probably would get flushed.

    Six-Line Wrasse

Can I keep two six-lines in a 55g? My LFS said they would hold me two just in case. I wasn't sure how territorial they were. I just traded in all of my aggressive fish and am going to try communiry, possibly reef and was just wondering. Thanks ya'll.

My 55g reef at 6 months

That tank is beautiful, makes my 55 look pitiful. Where did you get your pc lights if you don't mind me asking? I've been searching around for those here lately. I have the same setup as you except for lighting, where is your nitrate level at? Mine is around1 5-20ppm and I was wondering if that...

What the bleepedy-bleep is going on?

I did the same thing when I first started my saltwater tank. One book I swear by is Marine Fishes by Scott W. Michael. Sometimes I even take it to the petstore with me to double-check what the LFS tells me. Good luck with your tank and let us know how it works out.

    Algae Question

Even if you don't change the type of lighting from strip lights I would upgrade bulbs. I have a fowlr and just bought some 20k bulbs to replace the stock ones and it made a huge difference in my tank. The new bulbs made the old ones look like they were yellow. Now my tank is super clear and I...
