Lion has ripped a hole in fin

Nah sorry videos are just as bad as photos. I will be trying to get my hands on a camera to borrow this week hopefully anyway. The only thing other than ripping it on the rocks could be one of the damsels The damsel has been digging out the sand in the corner of the tank for the last couple of...

Lion has ripped a hole in fin

Great to know it will heal on its own. Forgot to put in the post that i think he may have just torn it on rocks as he has been perching in the rocks rather than on them sometimes, he moves around a few places in the tank throughout the day and the spot in the rocks is just one of them, but i...

But tonight I noticed he has ripped his fin, I cant get a decent photo, but its his big fins that he corners prey in with etc, not sure of the name. Its his left...

What Powerheads and Where to put them?

I have 3 outlets on my Return pump going into the tank at the moment, and I have one of these creating a little surface agitation so thats ok. If I put them up the top back corners, I know this is the most common place, but I have very fine sand and I dont want a constant sandstorm, and i dont...

What Powerheads and Where to put them?

My new skimmer has just arrived, so next step is looking at getting powerheads for my current set up. I have a 90gal 4ft tank with 8 fish and a few corals, looking to expand on the corals as time goes on. My question now is what size powerheads (and brand? Koralia?) and how many would be good...

    hide and wont eat

The thing you are waiting for is to understand your tank, perhaps buy the test kit yourself that way you will learn to understand what is actually being tested. It takes a while to get a grip on everything to begin with, but that is what you need to do before adding any more fish. Get your...

Good luck with your tank david, Seems to me that you are unwilling to actually accept anyones help from this forum and also the local aussie one. People here know what they are talking about and have tried to give you tips, if you are not willing to take the advice, you should probably unplug...

    Feeding Coral Banded Shrimp

Great Cranberry, will feed CBS every few days, didnt want to be overfeeding or underfeeding him. Are Bracckish Water Prawns ok to feed the lion by the way? They are quite cheap and he seems to love them. Finding things to feed him over here is a mission and a half.

    Feeding Coral Banded Shrimp

The lion has had a couple of prawns in the last few days and he seems to go nuts over them, he will not quit chasing until he gets it lol, quite funny as with the feeder fish he didnt move that quick. The CBS cant really eat a prawn or anything can he? Am i best to just give him a chunk of meat...

    Feeding Coral Banded Shrimp

Hi all I brought a 5cm Coral Banded Shrimp in the weekend, and was just wondering how often is it best to feed him? He has had a piece of mussell which he seemed to love to get his claws on. We have a 4ft tank (90gal) with 40kg of live rock and occupants are: Fuzzy Dwarf Lion, Coral Beauty...
