I've had to neglect my tank a bit for awhile and now have to get it back on track. Sg 1.028 (will lower with RO/DI water when it's ready) ph 8.0 trate 0 trite 0 ammonia 0 po4 0.1 temp 27 not too bad but my alk is (6)107 and calcium is at 330. what is the best approach to raise these two up...

crm 13 fuge is a seperate 10g tank that will be set up behind and above the main tank. thanks for reply

I need to lower the flow rate after a maxi 1200 line to my fuge. If I just restrict flow with a valve, instead of diverting flow back to tank, will this harm the powerhead? :thinking:

Same thing happened to me this morning! Was cursing my LFS, when i saw the crab looking around a piece of LR: laughing: They do molt, good sign!

Bang Guy - my understanding is this: the flow through the fuge is not supossed to be very fast, correct? so I was mostly wondering if they would be carried to the tank by this flow through the fuge. Thank's :)

a sponge huh? never would have thought of that one NM reef I wanted to try and keep a manderine later on, looking 5 to 6 months down the road, and am looking to be able to supply enough pods for it. Thank's again :)

After my tank cycled, I added 4 hermit crabs, there was no increase in any readings. The next week i added 5 snails, again there was no change. HTH

OK, this may be a dumb question, but.... How do copepods get from the fuge to main tank? Are they carried by return water, or do you have to capture them and put them in the tank yourself? Do you have to take LR from fuge to tank? :notsure:

off topic too, that has got to be the nicest tank i have seen yet! what we aspire to have for our own.

was advised by lfs, usually good advise, to add calcium for the coroline all that was on the LR.

Water was clear this morning but when I came home it was fairly cloudy? 2nd Week of cycle. No powerheads in tank yet, there on the way. Using 2 empty aquaclear 300 power filters for circulation. Last night was first test for calcium and hardness, cal 375, KH 179ppm. Added some Reef Calcium...
