I agree, you should move your hammer coral. Galaxia coral is mean and will kill anything it can touch. As for the stingers on galaxia corals they mine use to strich out as long as 8", then I got rid of it so that I could add more corals. Good luck, both specimens look fastastic!

Was your tank ever used before? If so, if you have ever used any copper products which some people use to get rid of ich will kill your corals.

I would suggest to look into the jbj hqi nano tank. This new nano gives the best of both worlds, highest quality lighting for any coral, and enough room for the amount fish you want! Best wishes! Keep us posted with pictures.

I don't know if many other reefers would agree with this recommendation, but depending on the size of your aquarium, I would do a 25% water change everyother day for a couple weeks to help lower the nitrates. I'ld also remove any types of filter media which can be harboring more nitrates. Good...
