    the real deal with water?!

was there any legitimacy behind what my lfs was saying in that ro/di water removes some good things from the water which ro will leave behind? i noticed they had all these water supplements which said to add to ro/di water

    the real deal with water?!

short and sweet answers...haha...is ro/di simply more pure water than ro? rodi has all the nasty algae causing stuff removed from it which may have made it through the ro unit?

Tell me whats wrong (Green Star Polyp)

yeah i think light is good...maybe its just getting used to the change in lighting...the only time i lost star polyps was when the rubble they were on fell behind a rock in teh corner of my tank and i couldn't get it up...it was dark down there...and even then they made it for a while...

to be honest i wouldn't worry about a slight drop like that...even 8.2 is not an unacceptable pH...if your not having problems then i wouldn't change anything...

    green carpet anemone

indeed...also be careful with temperatures in your tank...we just lost a purple carpet and after much research we think that it was our water which got up to almost 84 degrees with mh's on was the culprit

    Melting Xenia

are you dripping supplements due to excess skimming? i don't add any supplements to my tank just water changes which brings back all of the necessary things which your corals eat up e.g. calcium and such....my pH has been low for a year and a half and my xenia and all other corals have always...

adding live sand to crushed coral

if you put live sand over top of crushed coral it will slowly just work its way to the bottom and you will again have crushed coral only with live sand underneath of it

babyb had to drop your two sense...i guess the xenia is so overwhelming that you overlook the tang...don't worry it is on its way out in about a month...it has been fine and health since it has been in there though...it eats like a champ daily...
