My CBS molts ,it seems, 1-2 times a month. I add a weekly amount if Iodine to the tank along with everything else.It does seem to help. Or doesnt seem to hurt anything.(however you want to look at it.)

I have a fairly good amount of live rock that mine eats off of constantly. I also feed the tank baby brines every other night and supplement this with cyclop-eeze. This seems to do the trick for my mandarin. You can see that he eats all of this he can get.

Dont know if it will be ok with what you want but I have an Austrailian Harlequin Tusk in with a Niger and Huma Huma trigger, Lunare Wrasse, Pixie Hawk, and Cow fish. The tusk is very passive (at least mine is) Every once in a while he will chase the Huma Huma around for fun. Hope this helps.
