I would like the any CF's you may have, I go through them faster then I get them for my salt set up.

Home Depot has a collection area for bulbs, I take them there. I use my old CF's abd T5's on freshwater until the burn out then take them to Home Depot when I make a trip, they will take any kind of old bulb.

This is the fish that got me into the hobby years ago, it captured my young imagination, and it still holds a place in my heart. I wish I could dedicate a tank to one of them.

I got my Eco 1267 Submersible Water Pump 1267 GPH today, man is it getting some serious flow going, I think I will get another one to replace the old pump I have. I am really liking it.

I do not think Star fish can get ich, they do not have a slime coat, which is where the ich infest for the most part. Eitherway a SF will not survive hypo, so do not try.

I ordered a: Eco 1267 Submersible Water Pump 1267 GPH I do not know much about them but they seem to have good reviews, and the price is good. At any rate, it is better than the pump that died.

They go for $2.25 around here, but that is FL, so maybe MI $9 is the going price.

I am sure these it some "padding" of the gph, as it is rated that at 1' so at 5 ft, I am guessing it would be much less. I have had rio before and like them, but I know Mag are a really good brand.

you will need larger than a 1 gal, I would go with at least a 10g, and then you need to have very light filtration so the young shrip do not get sucked up. You may even need to move the adults out, but I am not sure on that. Last the feeding will be harder than phyto, that may work as they get...

Cool, I know the feeling, I meet two sister when I was nine. Though I do not have much contact with them, it is still cool that they are out there.

Well, no fish in it for 4 weeks, not 6.

I have to ask what "Fallow" means.

I did add more LR but it was cured. The cycle took 23 days.
