We just switched to live sand from CC The protein skimmer is bubbling like mad, even out the top of the hole the leaking down the side Is this normal, because of the switch?:confused:

well the switch is done we went with 120 lbs got a good 2 inches no cloudness we used the plastic tarp method when putting back the water and it work great plastic started to float after awhile but we kept pouring on the plastic

How much sand do I need to get for a 75 gallon tank 48" long by 18" wide I think I am looking to get 2" of depth of sand does that sound about right?

I was told to lay the sand down and then cover with plastic. Start filling with water, havlve way filled pull the plastic. This will help with the stirring up and cloudness of the water. On the photography room if you look for a topic with the heading wablondie98664 we were discussing the same...

The tank has already cycled so I don't have to wait on that right? By adding live sand instead of the CC is everthing going to go nutty on me and kill everthing?:confused:
