Can anyone tell me ideas for getting a cool pic off the internet and uploading it as my avatar picture? I have seen some great pics under people's names. I tried to just save a small pic to my desktop, and then upload it in my user options, and it said it was too big? Any ideas on how to...

    Featherdusters

from ***********.com Fan Worms are marine segmented worms that are sessile, attached to rocks or sand by their base. The plume of Fan Worms can measure up to 10" in diameter on some species. Advice on Hawaiin Feather Dusters

At the LFS, the feather dusters are always laying on their sides, anchored, and not on any of the live rock. Is there a way to maybe "prop" them up against and throughout the live rock, so they'll stay, as long as they are still anchored in the sand bed? Also, any suggestions on additives for...

    Penguin 330 wheel gripe

I have the 280s with the wheels, and went ahead and put the 330 on there, sure doesn't hurt to have that much more surface agitation, as well as the filters and activated carbon. Its really quiet actually WITHOUT the wheels, those with the plastic v henges just stuck, not as good of a design as...

    Penguin 330 wheel gripe

I have two 280s on my tank already, but I also have a penguin 330, and to get the bio wheels to turn, you have to have it on the highest water/flow setting, they just won't turn, and its very noisy compared to the emperors I already have. Is it still worth it to take the bio wheels off, still...

Housing for a Pumping Xenia, silver branch?

What do you mean when you say "retrofitted". I am hoping there is a pc bulb out there I can simply put in, and maybe have to screw some holes in top for heat, something simple, or does it require making/modifying the hood on that eclipse 3, and other changes as well?

Housing for a Pumping Xenia, silver branch?

I am very interested in the pumping xenia, silver branch coral, I could watch it all day. Can anyone tell me their experience with this coral and recommendations. My setup is FOWLR, but I was wondering if I could house ONLY a pumping xenia in a separate small nano, with the appropriate...

    The Eclipse 3

Oh I understand, I mean no offense, I respect the skill and patience smaller nano tanks require, and of course agree that putting ANY fish in something small is wrong. I meant just a hi ouput light and 1-3 small corals that would just swish back and forth in the current. . . .very soothing...

    The Eclipse 3

This hobby is so addictive, I love it. Having the 75 FOWLR in the other room, I find myself wanting to also do a 2.5 or an eclipse 3 nano right here next to the computer monitor on my desk! Is this crazy, should I just be brave enough to upgrade to corals in the one, or does anyone have a...
