    Anyone In Memphis

:jumping: Okay...keep me posted! I went to Kermit's at lunch today, and found a really cool psychedelic goby. But, still holding off on any new purchases. I added a open green brain coral and feather duster last week. Did a water change yesterday...testing water every 3 days or so. All is...

    Anyone In Memphis

I live in Cordova...just a few miles away from kermit's. My tank is only 8 weeks established, so I cannot afford to add much more livestock. However, my conditions appear to be very very suitable to add something. I would love to talk to you more about being a responsible owner/investor in...

    natural sunlight

I have been monitoring my tank for the last several days. Specifically in the early early morning hours, just before sunrise, I close the drapes on the windows so no sunlight hits the tank. This morning, I kept the drapes shut, but slowly let some light into my tank. After 15 minutes of...

    natural sunlight

The tank was inherited from a friend, and it was completely emptied before it left his house, including a hose down. :) A wet live sand was used in conjuction with the argonite (for my sanity sake I'll pay a visit to my local store and check the bags). On last weekends test of the water...

    natural sunlight

I guess this is as good a place as any to make this post. First I reckon you phine folks can comment on my tank setup. It's a second-owner 56 gallon tub. The 2nd owner (me) started it 10-08-2003. I started it with aggregate sand and live sand - the right amount for my size tank. And, uh, a lot...

    What is this? HELP!

THANKS! After many suggestions and lots of input, I believe it to be a Stylocheilus longicauda - sea slug! Now, do I keep it in there? I've heard slugs can emit toxins. I have no corals yet, only a startup kit, a firefish goby and a percola clown.

I am sorry for cross-referencing message boards, but I'm not sure I am getting the answer/opinion from the right mind. Please take a look at My Reef Forum Post and see if you can help me figure out what this strange creature is. Thanks SWF! J

    Newbie needs help!

My tank seems to be doing well. Salinity, pH, nitrite, alkalinity are all okay. Tank started 10/8/03. I am starting a reef tank, and began Reef Pure's calcium supplement today. First concern: I bought a 30-90gallon starter kit. The Sally crab has died - and I do not know why. All the...
