I just want to make sure that the sand won't harm them now. I know it will dissolve eventually. I just figured that the sand would be able to keep a good ph balance and keep some salinity in it being that cichlids like brackish water.
I have a 125g tank that has approx. 50-60 lbs of aragonite sand. Can this sand be used for a cichlid habitat? I would imagine it would be alright if it was rinsed and the ph would hold with this sand correct? Please let me know if this will work.
