Thanks Saltwaterdave. I think I may have began adding the product too early. I took the advice of a LFS which as we all know can be misleading. I have no bioload as of yet so there is nothing to deplete my levels. But thank you to everyone that helped! And good luck poolguy. Thanks, Jen

Not sure. We need a pro to help us out!! Is your tank fairly new? Mine is. I know alk naturally starts to fall over time, but I'm not sure if it's possible to be too high.

I actually just got online to ask the same question. I'm using a Salifert test kit and my Alk doesn't even rate. 16 dKH is max!! Is it bad that it's this high? I also add a A&B product everyday, but my pH is only 8.1 or 8.2. Just in case you think I may be crazy, I've tested multiple times.

kvv711 - My friend and I just set up tanks. She got the fine sand. I hear you, what a mess. Following the directions doesn't help. It's like looking into milk. Thank god I got a little bit coarser sand. It fell right to the bottom and within and hour or two was perfectly clear.

The Custom Sealifes are very blue. Not purple at all.

I did the timers thing too. Works great. They did go out of business. Got my light on ---- super cheap.

Is there a big difference with the Actinics03. I'm really not a fan of the blue that came with the lights

I purchased one as well. 48" with moonlite. I love it! I'm not a huge fan of the stilts it sits on but other than that I think it's great.

Aragonite sand. Someone told me it could be caused by die off from the live rock. Just not sure how to get rid of it.
