My Maroon that I just got from swf is swimming, but panting and there is a white slime coating patches near the face. The rest of the fish are ok except him. Should I go ahead and treat him?

I just built a new DIY hood for my tank. I have room for 3 55W pc's and would like to know what combo of lights would be the best. Should I keep it 50%/50% actinic and 10k with 3 55W 50/50's or would some other combo be better? ie: 2 10k, 1 actinic, or 2 actinic and 1 10K.
