I have some black stuff that keeps appearing between my sand and the glass on the tank. I scrape it away and it always comes back. Is this something I should worry about?
Thanks
I have a 50 watt light and I am about to upgrade to 130 watt lights. The temp stays pretty consistent at 82 I want to try to keep it lower if possible.
I have a 36 gallon bow front. The tank is at 82 degrees. Is this an acceptable temperature? If not what are some means of keeping the temperature down in the tank? I am trying not to purchase a chiller (too much $$$ :-) )
Thanks
Anyone here one? Are they super aggresive toward the other fish in the tank and do they eat all inverts? I have hermit crabs, cleaner shrimp and snails and want to know if it will eat them.
I have live rock in my tank and have noticed a worm like organisim that comes out from time to time during the day. I looks like a centipede so it is likely a bristle worm.
Are they bad and how do I get rid of them?
never ghad any issues with the tank at the 7.8 level
just trying to figure out wht my blennie just suddenly died when all levels were ok, except for 7.8 and it was eating well
i had it for two months
My PH level stays in the 7.8 range, all other levels are fine (Nitrates, Nitites, Ammonia, Salinity)
Anyone have any suggestions for upping the PH levels? Or is 7.8 OK? Thanks
I have a bi-color angel in my tank. It just hangs out in the same place (under a rocky cave) most if the time. It comes out and eats but mainly stays in the same place like its guarding something. Is this normal behavior?
The lighting is regular fluorescent lighting. I haven't put the light on at all (there are no fish in tank yet). I plugged in the heater (It will only go on when the threshhold in temp. is hit anyway)
What kind of fan could I point at water? I do have the Maxi Jet circulating the water.
I have completed the initial setup of a 36 gallon bow front saltwater tank. The temperatue has remained around 82-84 degrees. I have unplugged the heater and have kept the top opened to try and cool the H2O.
The area gets no direct sunlight, I guess the house is just not cool enough. Anyone...
