i finally was able to find metal halides, but costs run about 2 weeks of my allowance. ive added a blue damsel.. and he's the biggest amongst my fishes. ive seen him chase the sixline wrasse and the calrkii clown on several occassions, though not all the time.

i also have a brittle star that got eaten. but i saw it with my own eyes. it was a black brittlestar of some sort, a hitch hiker from a newly acquired rock. it was small, about half an inch in diameter. when it went to the sand, the hermit crabs instantly cut off its legs and began eatin it.

lol. thought of that first. but my tank isnt big enough. im starting to think.. that there is a lack of small blue fishes. i cant think of any. lol.

you sure you have a pistol shrimp? maybe what you have is a mantis. i have a pistol shrimp and it doesnt touch anything :)

lol. i thought no one would ask. i have no sump, no refugium. all i have is a cheap skimmer and a powerhead/overhead filter. as for lighting, there are 4 20-watt bulbs, 2 20w NO. that's it. really. i still cant find VHOs or any stronger lighting, so that leaves me with no choice,.. :nope:

here's a sebae anemone and a clarkii clown. theyre fun to watch. ANYTHING the clown gets, he brings it to the anemone.. i mean everything, including pellets, nori, and garlic. it's really fun to watch them. the clown also attacks the hermit crabs that get too close to the anemone.

i had trouble introducing new firefish to my LMB. i dont know why, but everytime i put a firefish in my tank, the LMB attacks it during the night, when the firefish goes to hide amidst the rocks. Everytime i put a firefish in, the LMB would bite it. :)

thanks for the flattering comments, guys :0 however, are there no negative remarks? i was kinda hoping there would be :) nice suggestion golfish, but im doing that too right now. i currently have small frags (most are shrooms and zoanthids though) i try to steer away from sps.. too hard :D

this is a rock full of mushrooms, macroalgae and other sessile invertebrates. i like the mushrooms a lot, different colors ranging from pink to rainbow-colored shroomies.

this is a small leather and a small open brain. got them both for a very very very cheap price. almost free. by the way, what kind of anthias is the one on the left side of the pic? im clueless. im thinking it's a female lyretail, but im not so sure.
