i was told that butterflies are hard to feed in captivity. (maybe that's why i always see more dead butterflies than anything else in the lfs) :)

i hatch baby brine. my fish enjoy eating this more than anything else. my fish dont touch the adult brine, but feeds frenzily on the babies. i also see my zoanthids feasting on some baby brine.

jeez. that's what i call a light monster. ill see what i can do (either find anotehr owner, or search day and night for MH). thanks again. :)

thanks for the info. I did put him in teh most top part of the aquarium. too bad his purplish colors arent much seen from the top of the tank. uhmm... what are DT's? Sorry.. havent heard of it. Nothing in the market here. :)

hmm.. the store doesnt take them back. the lfs doesnt have any light at all over the clams (or as well as any other fish/coral).. so i guess they MIGHT be better off with me. if i add another VHO, for a total of 150 watts, (7.5 watts per gallon) would it be sufficient for the clam? not really...

oh man, im screwed. havent seen any store here selling Metal Halides. I had a very hard time finding my only VHO. $3 US. Impulse buying. :thinking:

oh man.. is 4.75 watts/gallon enough to sustain it? i only have a 95 watt (20 watts and a 75 watts) lighting system.

here ya go. ive really no clue about clams. ive heard they keep ammonia and nitrates low. is it true? if it is, would it be ok if i put 2 of them in my 20 gallon? :)

any info about this fish? and, another question.. will a lawnmower blenny be aggressive towards a firefish in a 25 gallon tank? only inhabitants are a small clownfish and the sailfin blenny.

my rocks have a lot of hitchhiker baby brittle stars.. ive seen about 4 of them already. still alive.. theyre actually the only starfish that lived in my aquarium (i tried a choco chip.. died after 3 days )

i have a 20g myself. what i have is an ocellaris clown, a lawnmower blenny, and a hi-fin banded goby. they all look cute together! :)
