just an update. have been seeing some good growth from some sps

2 months ago i purchased 5 burghia nudibranches that came with 1 spool of eggs. my aptasia problem is almost completely irradiacated. definately wirth the investmetn. as with anything you put in your tank, acclimation is key. i would ddefinately reccomend this investment.

so ive been battling for a couple months and am having no success. They are multiplying crazy and starting to affect my orange monti and a bunch of my zoo colonies. Tried peppermint shrimp twice, tried aioptasia x, tried a copperband...no success with any. Next i was going to try burghia...

yeah i do know. they really dont bother my hands too much when i handle them. little itchy and irritated when they touch the top of my hand, but not too much when my palms or fingertips touch. mushrooms actually irritate me more than the zoos.

since april i have added a sump and a fuge under the tank. i had a bad red hair algae problem for a while, but it all panned out. probably have about 20 hermits, 3 huge turbos and 5 or 6 small ones. couple of astrea snails and 3 nassarus snails which burrow in the sand pretty good. they...

thanks for the quick reply. what about adding corals? i was going to add some zoas in a week or two. they shouldnt be affected right? and inverts arent affected by it either?

just set my 28 gallon cube back up. have about 50 lbs of base rock and 8lbs of live rock. hang on the back refugium with skimmer built in, cheato in it, and a 3 gallon sump underneath. cycle was underway, ammonia was down, so after my tank being up for a month, i put in two ocellaris clowns...

So......sirface of main tank started developing a layer of "dust" on it from no water turbulence. Went in the attic and grabbed some stuff and added a 3 gallon sump. I really didnt want to have anything plumbed and wanted everything to be hob, but it is what it is. At least now the ugly...
