wat kind of clean up crew do u have?

does anyone know the name in food terms?? ...i just bought some little necks and i dont really wanan drop a potentially delicious dinner in my tank

my nitrates fluxuate anywhere from 0 to 1 or so every time i do a water change. I change about 20% water or so every week. From what i can see teh hermits i have now arent even touching the algae or all the fish poo. are fighting conchs worth buying? and any ideas why my snails keep dying? all...

right now in my 55 i have 45lbs of live rock and only about 10 hermits left, an emerald crab and i had a few mexican turbos but for some reason they all kept dying. i have my algae problem under control...kinda. ever since i bought an ro my water quality has increased dramatically, but my LMB...

relax. we all make mistakes, esp when we're still learning.

its a 55g tank. my nitrates are around 7 :eek: and i dont have anything to test phosphates but im running some phoguard. im about to do a 50% Water change and literally take out eack piece of rock and scrub off the algae. my nitrates are so high because my clean up crew well...isnt cleaning...

my tanks broken out in some nasty hair algae. so far in it i have a really fat LMB, 5 scarlet hermit crabs, 5 blue legs, 1 emerald crab, 3 green chromis, 1 true perc, and a cleaner shrimp. i just bought an ro unit so i can have water that wont promote algae growth, and i cut back on light hours...

did u get it up and running?? how well does it work compared to maybe a euro reef? im thinkin about getting a turboflotor, or i might just wait longer and save for a euroreef

how did u manage to get 200lbs of rock into a 75g tank? just curious..:thinking:

it seems as though i have a rediculously bad hair algae problem. yes yes, i know i should be using RO water, and im currently looking into buyin an RO system (any reccomendations??) So far my clean up crew is 5 blue leg hermits and 5 scarlets and a LMB. i plan on buying an emerald crab or 2...

my arrowcrab ate my red banded goby and a peppermint shrimp :mad: now he sits all alone in a 20g until i can find somethin to do w/ him

there not reef safe!! those guys are little murderers!! mine at a peppermint shrimp and one of my gobies before i put him in a serparate tank, and he probably did just grab your hermit crab out of his shell. ive even heard stories of them eating snails... and they dont eat algae, there scavengers =P

i ordered som blue shrooms to put in my tank.. how do i acclimate them and for furture reference, other corals?? drip them all?:notsure:

he probably jumped. you'd be suprised how fast and far they can move before they die. when mine jumped out when i turned around to get some food i chased him almost to the other end of my room!:eek:

has anyone gotten lace rock from anywhere else besides a fish store?? the only fish store i know of near me wants i think 6 dollars a pound!! :eek: i have 45lbs of rock as of now but i def want to add alot more. any ideas?
