right now in my 55 i have 45lbs of live rock and only about 10 hermits left, an emerald crab and i had a few mexican turbos but for some reason they all kept dying. i have my algae problem under control...kinda. ever since i bought an ro my water quality has increased dramatically, but my LMB...

my tanks broken out in some nasty hair algae. so far in it i have a really fat LMB, 5 scarlet hermit crabs, 5 blue legs, 1 emerald crab, 3 green chromis, 1 true perc, and a cleaner shrimp. i just bought an ro unit so i can have water that wont promote algae growth, and i cut back on light hours...

it seems as though i have a rediculously bad hair algae problem. yes yes, i know i should be using RO water, and im currently looking into buyin an RO system (any reccomendations??) So far my clean up crew is 5 blue leg hermits and 5 scarlets and a LMB. i plan on buying an emerald crab or 2...

i ordered som blue shrooms to put in my tank.. how do i acclimate them and for furture reference, other corals?? drip them all?:notsure:

anyone have one, and are they tough to take care of? and are they reef safe? im thinkin about gettin one

can you keep one in a 55g reef?

ive read some places that ppls tanks have crashed switchin salts!?:scared: is this true?? ive been usin red sea in my 55g reef and people say oceanic is better so i was gonna make the switch but will it effect anythin in my tank since the 2 would get mixed??

soo.. what do u guys feed your blue-green chromis?? i tried feeding mine formula 1 and 2 pellets it might also be because there still relatively new and are adjusting to my tank:thinking:

in my 55g i have a maxijet 1200 in the top right corner of the tank(its stuck on the right wall) shooting water across the top across the tank surface, then another on the bottom left corner(on the left wall) shooting across teh bottom..is this right for circulation?? the power head on teh left...

meh, my panther grouper has a white spot on his right eye and it looks like his left one is gettin a little darker...the back portion of him is also darker and not as white... all he does is sit at the bottom of the tank and sometimes hes breathing heavily but there arent any white spots on him...

i read somewhere you can mix a cleaner shrimp with a grouper because of how they help the fish and even in the wild they'll often not harm the shrimp.. is this true?

can you put a camel box in a 55g reef with other fish?? they only get around 5 inches or so right?
