    55gal pics wanted!

I did a lot of research before I got into saltwater fish and one main thing I found is that you should never keep a tang in a tank under 100gal. You are keeping EIGHT tangs in a 55gal...this is bad. Tangs can grow up to 1 foot and love to swim, so what happens when all your tangs reach there...

Cool, but I don't have a sump or refugium. What if I do a small water change with ice cold water?

    Ice Cubes OK?

My tanks temperature went up to about 85 degrees in about 3 days. I turned off my heater and 24 hours later it's still the same temperature. How can I cool down my 90 gal tank faster...would it be smart to put ice cubes in there or will that shock the fish? :notsure:

    Thermometers

Thanks for the info, I didn't think thermometers would have had all those options, I guess I'll have to check out those digital ones.

    Thermometers

Are you talking about a termometer or a heater? I've never seen a thermometer with a temperature scale around the dial...matter of fact I've never seen a thermometer with a dial.

    Thermometers

Is there a difference with the thermometers for fish tanks or are they all the same. Is there a specific one that I should get or anyone would do as long as its for use in an aquarium? Would they all give accurate temperature? And what is the best temperature for a FOWLR tank?

What Fish Should I Get Next?

Thanks Teen, yeah I think a clown tang requires a 150gal tank, plus they are difficult to take care of.

What Fish Should I Get Next?

Does anyone have any suggestion on what fish I should get for my tank? I have a 90gal FOWLR tank about 9 months old with: 95lbs LR a large clean-up crew (coral band shrimp, brittle stars, snail, etc.) 1 medium yellow tang 1 medium 3-striped damsel 1 small long nose hawkfish and 1 small bangaii...

    Algea Blenny

Would an algea blenny survive in a tank with a lot of snails? My snail eat all the algea off the glass and rocks....I never have to clean the glass at all, would this cause a problem for an algea blenny or would he be able to find some algea to eat? 90gal tank 95lbs LR

    Bad Yellow Tang!

Thanks guys. I'll try the "black-out" thing when ever I get new fish in the future, I hope that works. As far as getting a QT I've been thinking about it but I just don't have the space for it....at least I don't think I do. Maybe I can see some pics of your QT setup so I can really know.

    Bad Yellow Tang!

Every time I try to put new fish into my 90 gal tank my yellow tang tries to hurt them. I just introduced a pearlscale butterfly to my tank on Saturday and now it looks like he's dying because the yellow tang keep bothering him. How do I prevent this from happening in the future? I don't have a...

    Banded worm?

I just discovered a worm coming out of my LR. Its white in color with reddish brown bands around it similar to the coral banded shrimp but not as bright. Anyone familiar with this worm and is it harmful or good for my tank?
