Another way to tell is to count the dorsal spines...lol...if you can get them to sit still long enough...Perc's usualy have 10 and the Ocellaris usualy have 11 spines. What do you have in the tank as far as water goes...? NOT FW I hope...and if SW...do you have a heater running...? if yes to the SW and heater get a PH up and running....

My True Perc's have an assortment of corals...and anemones...but prefer to sleep up under my power head just below the surface (which I turn off at night) But during the day they are like lil puppies happily playing in everything...

A LFS set me up with a few good chunks of thier LR out of a 4+ year old tank..that only has "not for sale" fish in it...and I got 5g of RO water from them too...so how should this water change effect my tank if in fact it hasn't gone threw its cycle... or will the water change be a tell/tell...

:notsure: I set up a 10g seven days ago for a QT...about 8lbs LR, bb, with a small damsel...I just checked my water and everything is reading perfect...Ph 8.2 and zero across the board...whats going on...it could'nt have cycled yet????? Anyone have feed back for me????
