    I am selling some of the xenia, they have grown like "weeds" in the tank. I cut one off as close to the base as I could get (though i could not get all of it off), I want to make sure that I did not kill the piece I sold. It is fine if it grows back, that mean a pleasant surprize for the person...

    I was wondering how do you remove a pulsating xenia that is attatched to a rock. Do you used a razor and cut it off from the base? can you cut it at the base and it will be ok?

    I have coralline algae growwing on the front of the tank. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? And is the only method of removal painstakingly scraping it off?

    I took the cover off the tank so the CO2 can escape. I added a powerhead and moved it toward the area of cyano in question. I also reduced my lighting time to 5 hours a day (only till i think the cyano is gone then i will slowly bring up the time). And reduced my feeding to smaller portions...

    I have a 30 gal tank...i just bought another powerhead and put it in the tank. Hopefully that will help.

    I use distilled water. My tank has been up for about 5 months. I will move my powerhead and see if that helps.

    I have a small area of my tank that is being inhabited by RED SLIME ALGAE!!! Is there anything I can do to get rid of this problem?? Tank perams are perfect as always, i have a HOB filter, heater, PC lighting and a 400watt powerhead. What is the deal and how can i get rid of it???

    Does wal-mart sell RO water? I am not sure mine does, it doesn't even have a freshwater fish department. But I am going to check now, I will be extatic if they do! I usuallly have my lights on for 10-12 hours a day. I feed them every other day anyway. But thank you for your help. I will try...

    I have a diatom problem. My tank is slowly turing brown. My live rock used to be pretty, but now it is covered in this stuff. Is there anything that eats this stuff? What will get rid of it?
