    Mark 24

Hi Mark! What screenname did you use previously? All three tanks are doing great, fish are growing like weeds, though...weird. Horses are awesome, that is why we are moving, have to find a bigger farm! LOL So, how about you and your tank/s? Lynda

    Help Please!

Hi, I guess I was not clear...I know how to acclimate a fish, however, I do not understand how to get the puffer out of the bag and into a net, then into the tank, without him inflating. What if he gets stuck in the net? Lynda

    stocking question??? need opinions..

Hi, Forgot to mention one other thing. Our checkerboard wrasse was in our 45 gallon while we were waiting for our 120 to cycle. The 45 has the plenum....he was not a very happy camper. He did bury himself everynight, but was unable to get as deep as he would obviously like. Plus, we were on...

    stocking question??? need opinions..

RobbyTT, The plenum is a pain to set up, #1. It is very systematic, one uses aragonite which takes hours to wash, then tops with LS, after all the screens are in place. The problem is that after all that work, if you have any creatures in your tank that sift through the sand, they might...

    Good news!

Hi all, Thought I would let everyone know that our two small tanks are now at zeros, with the exception of nitrate, which is at 10 in one tank, and 20 in the other!! Plants are on their way in to help with that. Thanks to all of you for all your help and support! We did not lose one fish or...

    New Tank Setup

Hi, The Nature's Ocean live sand works great, and can be seeded with live critters either through LR or through a bag of LS bought from a LFS. I bought 80 pounds from this site to use in my 120, and really like it! Great stuff. I would never use anything but LS, personally. Lynda

you think the tusk will starve itself to death?

Dlight, What are you trying to feed it? Have you tried brine or mysid shrimp, by chance, frozen? The LFS is my area only feed this to the aggressive fish, as we found out, so thought it might be the same for your guy. Remember, if you try live it will be hard to wean him off later! As for...

    stocking question??? need opinions..

Hi, I think the DSB is a great idea, I have one in my aggressive WITH an eel AND a wrasse, and it works great. I also have a plenum in my 45 community, and I hate it. Will never do a plenum again. Agree with all of the above regarding size and the manderin. Good luck! Lynda

    Natures Ocean Aragonite?

MR. SALTY, The Coral Reef down in Grand Rapids is starting to sell it too, although he prefers to sell his own live sand. I ordered some from online for my 120, and love it! In my 29, I used half of it and half of my LFS ls, and thought it did well, too. Will use it again, no doubt! Lynda

    Huma Huma is being MEAN!!!

Maybe you should consider bringing it back and letting your clown heal, first. And then, when you get a larger tank, add another trigger. Just a thought! Lynda

Harlequin tusk - trigger safe or not?

Hnmmm... I don't know, that tusk, from my reading, is one tough fish. I would think once he was acclimated, he would do just fine. Of course, it would matter a great deal on size of him and the trigger/s, and the kind of triggers you are talking about. Lynda
