I've had my feather duster for about 2 months now. He moved himself to a moderate flow in the front of my tank. I spot feed him weekly with all power heads off. I started doing this after I noticed algea growth. I'm still testing this idea to see if it helps.

I had a cc star in my tank and then added a feather duster the star was on the feather duster in no time. I wouldn't put the two together.
