    droopy coral?

I think from your discription of it loosing color it may have bleached in this case it will need to regrow it's symbonic algae in order to survive and if this is what happened the only thing you can do is sit and wait and hope for the best.

    Xenia competition

Good Q the only prolem I've had is with other leathers as they grow to close. But what it might be is there out competeing each other for nutrients or if they come from to different regions of the ocean were they coexist with no others of the same speices it might start a war.

    So Confused???? Lights?

I would say stay away from host anenome's unless you want to go vho or metal halide because they need light just as bright or brighter then some of the corals also I would do a little reading pertaining to the type of anenome you plan to keep because they can all have different requirements as...

    Dead Live-Rock

It should be fine to use.I would make sure and clean as much of the dead materail off before cycling it but I think if you added ten or so pounds of cured or even uncured live rock and let it cycle for a month or two you'll defenitly get the bacteria to repopulate the dead rock and some life...

    Whats the big deal???

The reason you cure live rock in the dark is while curing new live rock you will have alot of die off which adds alot of nutrients to your water so any light during this process will give you massive algae blooms(hair algae)which will choke out any life starting out anyways, also you will be...
