bulkhead holes, how close in size?

I want to put a bulkhead in an acrylic sump. It calls for a 1 7/8" hole. I can't find that size hole saw, but I have a 2". Is that close enough? Any thoughts? Thanks.

    bioballs submersed in sump?

Any harm or benefit from putting a lot of bioballs in the bottom of the sump, not just in the wet/dry part? Would they cultivate additional beneficial bacteria? Thanks.

Ocean Clear canister have an o-ring?

Now I'm confused. The company emailed me that it, the Model 375, at least, does not. The last thing I want, though, it to hook this thing up and start pumping water through it with no o-ring, if it needs one, and have water spewing all over my floor. Any suggestions?

treating ich in the display tank -- best options?

I read a whole bunch of threads on ich, and it's fairly clear that the best way to treat it is remove all the fish to a hospital/quarantine tank with hyposaline water for 3-4 weeks, then quarantine all new fish. I got that. However, if someone wanted to take a shot at treatment in the fowlr...

    makeshift "clean up crew"?

With 5 large (6-7") aggressive fish in my 150, they tend to make a mess when they eat. The Humu chews and spits part of it out. They tend to eat in big chunks, and not mess with little bites. So, and this wasn't planned, I also have 4 damsels and 2 small clowns in the tank. For some reason...

    Az No3

Potential problem. Yesterday I started this product, and with only 20-40 ppm nitrates. I used the low dose start up method, adding 6 *drops* to a 150 gal fowlr with large sump. This morning, most of my fish are breathing heavily at the surface. The literature/website for it says this is a...
