I have one also and he and my 3 emerald crabs are always out eating and aren't shy at all...they look GREAT on the my black sand...I'm sooo glad I changed from regular white sand to black...makes the colors stand out soo much

I personally would have no problems w/ placing a 180 gal tank there(I've been a GC for 20+ yrs)....those engineered floor joist are very strong and the beam is just added support....BUT the safe bet is to hire an engineer to do a survey if yo uare really that concerned...

With the amount of bioload you have I would do 3 gal water changes 2x's a week(like every 4th day) when preparing (mixing) your saltwater do it in large amounts so your salinity from water change to water change will stay more stable
