I've never had any luck keeping a "school" of them. I put 6 in my 90 and 5 in my 56. The 90 is down to 3 I think, and the 56 is down to 2. Been about 9 months I guess, since I last stocked them. I'm always having to put "new" ones in to keep them schooling. Seems when they get down to 2 or...

I will say this much. I had 260 watts of Coralife Compact Flourescents on a 48" tank (Came with a used tank I bought). I replaced them with a 110 watt (2x55) T5 fixture. It looks as bright or brighter with the T5's than the CF's. And the color is far better with the T5's. T5's ARE the way to go.

I would do a 100% water change... Drain old water into a container and put your LR and animals (what you have left) in there... and completely drain as much old water off that you can... Then fill it with new water. That's what I would do. You could probably "get away" with less, but. p.s...
