The Coral Reef isn't the only store... There is also the Aquarium off of Papermill... There are other smaller stores around, but not much worth going to... If you're interested, we're having an East Tennessee Reef Club meeting at the Coral Reef on Saturday Dec 8 at 9am... PM me if you want more...

Have you ever considered keeping your 15g tank, drililng it out and then using the 45g tank as a sump??? One of my friend's wife makes him keep a smaller 30g reef because she doesn't want to give up the furniture space... In order to keep stable conditions and so he can have hassle free...

I think testing for iodine and strontium is overrated... JMO... I am personally not a fan of PC's, but over a 20g and with your coral selection, you should be fine...

One of the members of my reef club has a pink tail trigger in his reef... He's a model citizen... But as maxalmon said, I'd keep a watchfull eye... :)

I buy mine either at the Hobby shop, or if I have an order going with an OFS already sometimes I'll tack on a tube or two... I've decided I don't like the larger tubes though... I frag ALL the time, and it pisses me off whenever the heads clog... I'd just as soon buy a bunch of smaller tubes...

What you probably have is cyanobacteria... It can be a pain to get rid of. I would try and pull as much as you can from the place where it is growing, decrease your light cycle, do a water change, and increase your flow in that area... :) Should be gone in a few days...

The reason you put the piece of shrimp into the tank is to give the tank something to decompose... The rotting shrimp will cause an Ammonia spike, which will break down and cause your Nitrites to spike, which will break down and cause your Nitrates to spike... That is when your tank is cycled...

If I were to have a FOWLR, I'd buy a Harlequin Tusk... They are really bright and have a nice personality... I don't really care for Lunar wrasses too much only because there are brighter nicer wrasses out ther with just as much personality...
