i love the dimensions of this thing... if it was 8 feet tall it would be the size of my apartment...

this is the light i use... i really like it... idk much about acclimating to lights but what i have read says to use layers of screen between the light and water... and remove one layer at a time every so often...

i built my tank and sump with acrylic... i had mine cut at a shop so straight edges weren't an issue... right now i am having trouble with the sump bowing so i would make sure to use something to support the top of the tank... my tank is fine because i gave it a top but i didnt on the sump which...

i had the pooffy plant that you have in the pics in my 55g fw before i set up the salt and i have to take out about a grocery bags worth every month... it was the only plant i could get to grow and i couldnt get it to stay in the gravel so it just floated around and grew so thick the bottom...

sorry read things again and see that you added damsels to start the cycle... please take them out this is torture... use raw shrimp or some fish food... just not the damsels...

i had at least 7 mantis shrimp hitchhike in on my lr... i found 5 of them in the box that my rock was shipped in... 2 made it into the tank about 8 months ago... i got one out within the first few weeks... i just got the last one a few mins ago... he has been digging under one of my rocks on...

thanks... how big will it get??? i like watching it but i like my fish better so if i see it actually nip a fish he will live in my sump... i thought it looked like an emerald but have never seen a red one...

this crab came a a hitchhiker with my rock and made it through the cycle... i like it and it doesnt seem to bother the corals... i have seen it pick at some shrooms once and my brown star polyps but i think it was grabbing something out of them because they didnt look harmed... it does, however...
